Crossing borders — ongoing

My photo project delves into the intricate web of relationships, the open road, and the deep connection I have with my car—a symbol of both freedom and constraint. Over a journey spanning 4,700 km and 7 countries, this project captures the tension between liberation and limitation, set against the backdrop of a century that promises boundless freedom yet remains fraught with geopolitical barriers. My Russian car, once a vessel for exploration, now carries the weight of sanctions, forcing me to drive it out of Europe. This series is a visual exploration of how personal and political forces shape our paths, relationships, and the roads we choose to travel.
